Michael Jordan’s Most Popular Air Jordan Is Getting a Brand-new Chicago Bulls-themed Release

The Air Jordan 4 Retro OG will be released in a new-yet-familiar "Bloodline" colorway.

In addition to the newly revealed Jackie Robinson-inspired Air Jordan 4 , news of another upcoming version of Michael Jordan’s most popular retro sneaker has surfaced.

This time, the new colorway will apparently continue the “Bloodline” story that began with 2015’s Air Jordan XX9, extended to 2019’s Air Jordan 1 and was most recently seen on this year’s Air Jordan 12 . As its nickname suggests, the style references Jordan’s legacy with a Chicago Bulls-inspired look. And like the previously released Air Jordan 12, the upcoming Air Jordan 4 is expected to feature a predominantly black design with white and red accents.

Unlike some of its themed releases, Jordan Brand hasn’t produced much of a narrative for the Bloodline styles, instead choosing to let theire distinct color selection do the talking. “Sometimes the game is in your blood,” reads Nike ’s official product description for the Air Jordan 12 Bloodline, which was released in May and sold out quickly from most retailers.

This latest Air Jordan 4 news come courtesy of @zsneakerheadz, Sneaker Files and Sneaker Market Romania, who confirm that the pair will feature an all-black upper with white filling in large portions of the shoe’s foam midsole and rubber outsole. White shoelaces further break up the black color blocking, while a small pop of red is expected to appear on both the tongue branding and the tongue liner. Furthermore, the style’s “OG” distinction indicates it will feature original-styled Nike Air branding on its heel and outsole instead of a Jumpman logo.

Other recent Air Jordan 4 news of note includes the reveal of the aforementioned Jackie Robinson-themed colorway, the return of the women’s-exclusive Linen style and perhaps most notable of all, the first-ever public release of Eminem’s coveted “Encore” collaboration .

The Air Jordan 4 Retro OG Bloodline is set to be released on April 24 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers globally for $230. The style code for the new sneaker is FV5029-005.
