Wrangler combines its Western heritage and the free spirit of the ’70s in its latest collection with Grammy-winning country music artist Lainey Wilson.
Wrangler launched the Fall 2026 collection on Thursday as part of its multi-year partnership with the “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer, which began in 2023.
The new collection trades Wilson’s usual boho-meets- Western signature for something even bolder. “For this collection, we drew from the ’70s, using suede fringe, warm earth tones, statement collars, and silhouettes that feel effortlessly cool,” Vivian Rivetti, global vice president design at Wrangler, told SJ Denim.

The brand grounded those references in Wrangler’s Western heritage through dark denim, rich prints, and unexpected texture. Rivetti added that faux fur also plays a key role, “adding vintage glamour and texture while still feeling wearable.”
Highlights in the collection include the Lainey Trench Coat, the Moto Jacket in dark denim, the two-tone Chap Pieced Flare, and the oversized Boyfriend Denim Top. Rhinestones, psychedelic horse prints and twists on satin leisure tops nod to the ’70s, while tees and sweatshirts featuring slogans like “Chasing This Neon Rainbow” and “Rodeo Nights.”
Finishing touches such as copper collar tips, pearl snaps, and a personalized interior pocket print make the collection feel special and distinctly Lainey. Her ability to blend glam and grit continues to shape the partnership; we want every collection to feel like it came directly from her closet while remaining unmistakably Wrangler.
Copper collar tips, pearl snaps and a personalized interior pocket print make the collection “feel special and distinctly Lainey,” Rivetti said, adding how Wilson’s “ability to blend glam and grit continues to shape the partnership.”
“We want every collection to feel like it came directly from her closet while remaining unmistakably Wrangler,” she said.
Previous Wrangler x Lainey Wilson collections have drawn inspiration from music festivals and Wilson’s life on the road. The themes for each collection come naturally to both the heritage denim brand and the multi-hyphenated entertainer.
“Lainey is a natural storyteller, and her creative vision for each collection continues to inspire our teams. She is highly collaborative, shows up ready to work, and is deeply invested in making the partnership successful. She shares the same passion, authenticity, and work ethic as the Wrangler teams, which is a big reason the partnership continues to grow season after season,” Rivetti said.
“She continues to evolve across music, film, and fashion, which gives us new creative territory to explore each season. At the same time, the strong commercial success to the partnership has allowed us to expand the collection year over year reaching more of her fans.”
The collaboration ’s ability to evolve and expand fashion’s definition of Western wear is key to its longevity. It also underscores the category’s growing influence on culture.
“Western style has staying power because it is rooted in authenticity, self-expression, and the cowboy spirit,” Rivetti said. “Today, music, film, and fashion are bringing that influence to a much broader audience, well beyond its traditional regional roots. Consumers may discover Western through a cultural moment, but they stay for pieces that feel genuine, versatile, and built to last. That combination of relevance and authenticity is what keeps Western fashion moving forward.”
