The collection is an evolution of founder Gigi Hadid's personal wardrobe philosophy: timeless knitwear paired with lived-in denim.
Guest in Residence , the luxury knitwear brand, is getting into the denim business.
Founded by Gigi Hadid in 2022, Guest in Residence will introduce its inaugural women’s denim collection on Sept. 10 for the fall 2026 season. The collection reflects an evolution of Hadid’s personal wardrobe philosophy: timeless knitwear paired with lived-in denim, worn on repeat and designed to move easily through everyday life.
“Denim has always been at the heart of how I dress — it’s what I live in alongside cashmere; that combination has become my uniform,” Hadid said. “Expanding our Guest in Residence universe was something I wanted to do very intentionally, and denim feels like a natural extension of our knitwear collections, offering the same elevated experience now translated into a new medium. We’ve designed each silhouette to feel like it’s always been in your wardrobe: instantly familiar, super soft, perfectly fitting and built to last for years to come. My first comment after trying our very first Guest in Residence Denim sample is what I dream will be your experience every time: ‘They feel great!'”

Guest in Residence Denim has been created in collaboration with designer Benjamin Talley Smith , a denim expert. Talley Smith collaborates with brands on all aspects of denim design, development and production. He has collaborated with such brands as Khaite, Madewell, Reformation, Rag & Bone/Jean, Re/Done Originals and Ulla Johnson Denim.
“Denim is a natural next step for Guest in Residence because the brand already understands the emotional relationship people have with everyday essentials,” Talley Smith said. “We approached the collection with a strong focus on longevity and comfort, not just in construction but in how the jeans feel and wear over time. From the fabric development to the washes and proportions, everything was designed to capture a sense of ease, authenticity and understated luxury.”
The fabrics have been sourced from leading mills in Turkey, where the jeans are also manufactured with responsible production practices. Fabric development focuses on achieving an exceptionally soft hand feel and elegant drape, available in both 100 percent cotton and cotton-lyocell blends to enhance comfort, improve flexibility and contribute to a smoother surface.
The collection features four key silhouettes: The Traveler Jeans, which is a high-waist, wide-leg silhouette with a side-seam inset at the hem; The Everyday Jean, a classic that’s slightly relaxed through the hip, with a straight leg and subtle cuff; The Weekender Jean, a gently tapered fit with a raw hem and double-needle side seam, and The Workday Jean, a modern take on the classic carpenter, featuring double-knee patches, a hammer loop and traditional workwear detailing.
For the collection, vintage-inspired washes have been developed by studying authentic garments sourced worldwide. From near white to 1970s blue and worn-in black, each wash is defined by refined whiskering, distinct dimension and lived-in character. Signature detailing includes custom logo buttons, rivets and back waistband pockets.
The collection also includes corduroy and softly garment-dyed colorways finished with a sun-fade process to create depth and nuance.
Hadid said she worked on the first round of Guest in Residence Denim for about a year. “This is something we took time with because expanding into a new category is something I didn’t take lightly. I want our customers to feel the intention behind adding a new layer to a Guest in Residence wardrobe, something that is true to us. I made these jeans a part of my life this past year and learned and edited through that. They have been a wonderful addition to my personal closet, and I can’t wait to share them with fans of GIR,” Hadid said.
The prices of the launch collection range from $265 to $325. Sizes run from 23 to 32.
Asked if she would consider adding other denim products such as jackets, overalls and skirts, Hadid said, “We wanted to start with the foundation of a denim wardrobe — great jeans — and every addition moving forward will have to earn its place. It should solve something for the GIR wardrobe and feel like a natural extension of the brand, never just another piece for the sake of it.
“As a creative director, I am very opposed to feeling rushed to produce anything — if and when we launch shirts, jackets, etc., it will be something I really feel I need in my wardrobe, and won’t be released until I feel we’ve executed it correctly,” Hadid told WWD.
Hadid described her aesthetic as “comfortable, effortless and lived-in.”
“From the fabric selection to the silhouette, everything was designed to reflect the Guest in Residence ethos — that your clothes are your home away from home. The goal was denim that feels incredibly soft and easy to wear from Day One, while still looking timeless and polished,” she said.
Discussing how she and Talley Smith made the denim line different from what’s already in the market, Hadid said, “We obsessed over the fabric and the washes. We wanted denim that had the comfort of your favorite cashmere sweater without sacrificing the character of authentic denim. Having a denim consultant with the experience of Ben’s was invaluable in refining every decision — from the hand feel and fit to the proportions and finishing details — so the collection feels true to Guest in Residence while still bringing something fresh to the category. Every element was considered.
“We developed styles in both 100 percent cotton and cotton-lyocell blends for an even softer hand, then layered in thoughtful details like vintage-inspired hardware, a leather back patch inspired by furniture in my home, signature back darts and the novelty inset in the Traveler Jean. Even the pocket flasher was designed to be kept — it’s a paint-by-number postcard (all images from my personal camera roll) you can finish and send to a friend. We wanted every touchpoint to feel intentional,” she said.
The collection will be available this month at Guest in Residence stores in New York and Los Angeles, as well as online at guestinresidence.com and via select wholesale partners.
